Elizabeth Barker first began writing while growing up on a farm in North Carolina. She has also lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. She, her husband, and their two sons were all born in different states. A published author, she has written other novels not yet published and has had a number of “work lives,” twenty-two in all, that range over a wide spectrum. For this reason, among others, she has a broad range of knowledge, an essential component of copyediting effectively and writing realistically. She has a master’s degree in English and years of experience copyediting. Helping people polish their writing is a goal she is deeply committed to, as she knows from experience how much heart and soul go into writing of any kind. If you’re having trouble getting started or organizing your writing, Elizabeth also has experience in developmental and substantive editing. She now lives in Bristol, Tennessee, with her husband, a cat, a dog, and many fish.
